About the Author

Leanne

I am Leanne Wadenpfuhl, a twentysomething girl who is married to one fabulous and sexy Jacob Wadenpfuhl. Together, we have a wonderful toddler-girl named Poppy Anne. She is amazing, and often messy. In October, we are expecting our second little girl. We all live in the city, but call the wild wilderness our home. What? No, that’s not right. I only wish that were true. We just plain old live in the city. Sometimes in the summer we go camping in the mountains to help ease the pain. We recently bought our first home, which makes it official… we are awesome!

Besides being a mom, I am sometimes a ballet teacher and writer. I like doing both of these things, and sometimes I get paid. I do have my degree in journalism, but you know how that goes.

My favorite color is yellow. My cat’s name is Independence Day. I avoid going to the bank and the post office if at all possible. My favorite scent is pine. I am a vegetarian. I have multiple sentimental “wedding rings.” I love my husband. My daughter has smooshy cheeks. I believe in many things, but you’d be surprised.

    Hi Leanne,
Lynda had advised me to read “Crunchy Cursive” a while ago. Just want to tell you how much I enjoy the site and reading your delightful stories each week or so!!

I just visited the blog for the first time and an hour later i’m thinking i need to go to bed but i want to keep reading. i felt so connected to alot of the emotions in your stories about motherhood and your relationship. so encouraging the way that you bring out the beautiful simple things in life but still manage to be blunt and honest about the “not so pretty” parts of our life that no one wants to talk about.Real and Inspiring…
